On Monday, July 19, there will remain hot weather, day temperature to be +30 .. +34 ° C, up to +36 ° C in the south-east. Only the north-west of the Republic will fall under the influence of atmospheric fronts, that’s why the temperature recedes to 24 .. 29 degrees there, and there also expected rains of varying intensity, thunderstorms, the wind is strong and gusty when thunderstorms, Belhydrometcenter informs.
On Tuesday, from the south of the Baltic Sea there will shift fresh air mass, so the heat will weaken to +23 .. +29 degrees. On most part of the territory there will be showers, thunderstorms in some places. The number of patients with intestinal infections is growing in Belarus because of the heat
Prolonged hot weather causes an increase of the number of cases of acute intestinal diseases, the head of the department of children and adolescents’ hygiene of Minsk City Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Valentina Zhikhar, reported.
Only over the past week, about two hundred people turned to Minsk hospitals and clinics with poisoning suspicion, half of them are children. But, according to the experts, «such wave of diseases is normal for the current hot season», BTRC informs.
In order to prevent intestinal diseases, the experts advise to be cautious when using diary products and to wash thoroughly vegetables and fruits.
