General Prosecutor's Office is Studying a Letter of Ex-Interior Ministry Official Dudkin

Belarusian General Prosecutor's Office is studying an open letter of the former head of the anti-corruption unit of Interior Ministry, Vyacheslav Dudkin. According to the Prosecutor's Office, the letter of former Interior Ministry official has been brought to the attention of the Belarusian General Prosecutor, Grigory Vasilevich.

In his letter to the General Prosecutor,Vasily Dudkin accuses Belarusian intelligence services in elimination of those who knew about corruption in highest echelons of power, and asks General Prosecutor «as the highest official responsible for law enforcement, to abolish illegal procedural decisions of the KGB against Svetlana Baikova and other members of her group» .

«In the conditions, when boundaries between law and lawlessness are completely blurred, the state intelligence services are used to provide interests and security of the untouchables, and law enforcement officers — possessing dangerous or unpleasant information — and other people are severely repressed», wrote ex — Interior Ministry official in his letter, informs «Belarus partisan».

«Over the last year, Belarusian law enforcement system has undergone such reforms, that it is «upside down» now and no longer be understandable from the standpoint of law or common sense», said in the letter to the name of Belarusian General Prosecutor.

The former captain of the Interior Ministry said in his letter that a criminal «prosecution of investigator Baikova by KGB has clearly a contract character to avoid the prosecution of high-ranking law enforcement officials under her investigation of a criminal case.»

«Taking in consideration the volume and value of information available for Baikova, her life is in danger in the KGB jail!» Furthermore, I ask the journalists, human rights defenders and representatives of civil society to monitor the situation very attentively and take all possible measures to respond to unprecedented unlawful actions of Belarusian intelligence services», said in the letter.
