Belarus Proposes Cuba to Establish High-Tech Park

Belarus proposed Cuba to create a High Technology Park and Outsourcing Center to develop software for various sectors of economy. It was informed to reporters by the director of High Technologies Park of Belarus, Valery Tsepkalo, visiting Havana.

According to Valery Tsepkalo, the investment into the project can reach 100 to 200 million dollars within five or six years. «With Cuban party we are talking about the creation of outsourcing center for our companies, where would be used the knowledge and skills, the Soviet tradition of Cuba’s technical education. The Cubans have them the best in the region», RIA Novosti quotes the director of Hi-Tech Park of Belarus.

The Belarusian party believes that in the park there could be developed solutions for different sectors — from oil processing  to banking sector, as well as software for tourism, telecommunications, education, public health system.

«We consider Cuba as the «gateway» for those projects which are being developed with countries in Latin America», Valery Tsepkalo added, noting that Minsk is already developing large-scale joint projects with Venezuela.
