Russian Economic Development Minister, Elvira Nabiullina , stated that the issue of duties on oil and petroleum products for Belarus will be discussed in the context of forming common economic space within the Customs Union. "Here is the issue of rather principled approach", the head of MED noted.

«With regard to export duties on crude oil, petroleum products, then we’ll examine the issue simultaneously with resolving all the issues on the common economic space. Because exactly the CES stipulates the harmonization of many general conditions of economic activity for business entities. In our opinion, these export duties represent precisely this kind of issues», Elvira Nabiullina explained Russia’s position.

According to Russian minister, Moscow is ready to consider all issues, but «in the context of the formation of the next phase of our integration», because Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan within the Customs Union «agreed to move very actively towards the common economic space», ITAR-Tass informs.

The head of MED of the Russian Federation also reported that currently the Customs Union countries intend to intensify the work to create the common economic space, which is to be launched from January 2012.

«This is about the harmonization of providing subsidies to industry, agriculture, and about harmonization of public procurement conditions, about sectoral agreements, including in energy, natural monopolies — that is, about key parameters defining the terms of our enterprises activity», Elvira Nabiullina said.
