Economy Minister Nikolai Snopkov said at the Belarusian Investment Forum in Frankfurt / Main (Germany) that there's no issue of the crisis overcoming in Belarus today. "Today there is no question of overcoming the crisis. The question of sustainable economic growth through entrepreneurship is on agenda," he said.
The minister said that the Belarusian authorities would try to approximate the results of the year to the level of the most dynamically developing countries in the world — the Asia-Pacific region.
As a confirmation of their predictions, he showed the results of various world organizations (Doing Business, Investing Across Borders and others), proving the steady growth of the Belarusian economy. According to him, the country is the second in the world after India’s exports of IT technologies, it is also selling a third of potash fertilizers and so on, Telegraf reports.
According to Nikolai Snopkov, Belarus is the only post-Soviet country, operating the Investment Code, adopted in 2001. At the moment the code is being changed, considering the views of experts of international organizations, and is being harmonized to the international standards, the Minister said.
According to him, Belarus will make every effort to ensure stability of legislation on investment, to harmonize national legislation with international experience and standards, to continue the liberalization of economic processes. The main priority is that «business should feel most comfortable,» Nikolai Snopkov said.
