China Is Ready to Issue Belarus a Loan for Investment Projects in Minsk

Belarus got the consent of Chinese Eximbank for lending major investment projects in Minsk. During a working visit of Belarusian MPs to China, took place last week, the parties solved main issues of crediting. It was stated by deputy chairman of Minsk City Executive Committee, Alexander Borisenko.

According to deputy chairman of Minsk City Executive Committee, at present, GPO Minskstroy and GPO Gorremavtodor are preparing to sign contracts with China to construct a plant of industrial housing and transport interchanges’ building in Minsk, BelTA informs.

Moreover, Capital’s Transport and Communications company is finalizing the concept of intellectual transport system’s creation in the city and business plan of the project. According to Alexander Borisenko, the parties plan to sign all these documents in September. After that, Eximbank will make specific decisions concerning the terms to allocate loans and their volumes.

Trade turnover between Belarus and China has grown tenfold for eight years

Since 2002, trade turnover between Belarus and China has increased tenfold. It was reported on September 13 by deputy chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, Leonid Krupets. According to him, the level of Belarusian-Chinese relations is constantly growing.

At the meeting of Belarusian MPs with a delegation of National People’s Congress (NPC), Leonid Krupets said that Belarus and China were implementing numerous bilateral projects in the field of science, education and public health, BelTA informs.

«The Belarusian side welcomes the growth of PRC’s international authority and influence. China has demonstrated tremendous success on all fronts, and this is an example for our Republic», vice speaker of Belarusian parliament said. Furthermore, according to Leonid Krupets, Belarus is grateful to China for political support in international scene.

In his turn, the head of Chinese delegation, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the NPC, Jiang Shusheng, thanked Belarus for its support in the issues relating to China’s sovereignty and human rights.

«Political mutual trust and support are an important basis for the development of relations between the countries. High-level contacts are also important in this matter», the head of Chinese delegation underlined.
