Last weekend, the officers of drug control department of city police department stopped the distribution channel of psychotropic substances in Minsk's entertainment places. The detectives arrested two DJs by place of residence. According to investigation, they participated in drugs sail at city discos. Law-enforcers seized more than 350 ecstasy tablets from detained.
According to detectives, each DJ had his regular customers, including clients of entertainment places. Tablets were sold at a price of ten dollars apiece. The detained, 32 and 28-years old, were rather well-known and popular DJs in the disco environment. Their names are not disclosed in the interests of investigation, city police department’s press service informs.
A criminal case under art.328, Part 3 of the Criminal Code («Illicit traffic of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors») has been initiated against one of the suspected. There are further search actions currently carried out to find the whole chain of supply channel.
Minsk drug control units’ officers intensified their work in places of youth’s mass recreation. Since the beginning of this year, the operatives solved more than a dozen crimes — connected with drug trafficking in various youth institutions. As a result, law enforcement officers seized both plant-based drugs and psychotropic substances.
