Belarus and Ukraine plan to sign the intergovernmental cooperation agreement on oil transportation through Ukraine to Belarus till the end of this week, the representatives of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine informed.
The given agreement will allow increasing of oil volumes transportation through Ukraine by pipeline and by rail, «Interfax-Ukraine» informs.
According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Fuel and Energy, Ukraine has technical possibilities to reception of oil in the Black Sea ports of the country, its transfer and the further transportation to Belarus in the volumes offered by the Belarusian party, i.e. up to four million tons of oil since May, 1st, 2010 till April, 2011. Further volumes of oil transportation are planned to be increased to ten million tons a year.
«Agreement signing will promote realization of the common interests of two states on development of mutually advantageous cooperation in oil area», the representatives of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine said.
