Belarus is Interested in Relations with Germany

President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, at the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Belarus, Gebhardt Weiss, held to mark the completion of his diplomatic mission in our country, said that Belarus was interested in maintaining good relations with Germany.

The president also expressed his gratitude to Gebhardt Weiss for his aspiration to improve Belarus-Germany and Belarus-Europe relations in general, BelTA informs.

«We know the complexity of your profession, your work because of some of problems, which exist between Belarus and the European Union. You are the ambassador, who aspired to make it better for the host country, for Belarus-Germany relations, Belarus-Europe relations. We have seen it and are grateful to you for that», Alexander Lukashenko noted.

Gebhardt Weiss, in his turn, said that Belarus became close to his heart, he respected its people, history. The diplomat called his work in our country successful in general.
